was reading this article in Life! Straits Times ytd abt Aug and exams. Felt so sad. could feel the tingling sensation in my eyes... the education system is so stressful. we are robbed of our childhood and the little things that put smiles on our faces! and they want us to be more creative to meet the demands of a Knowledge-based society yet they make us memorise like siao for subjects like ss. how contradictary!
watched singapore idol too. that was touching. esp abt the girl who felt that she didn't have the whole package and was unlikely to qualify for the next round. really brings out the harsh reality that beauty is important. so what's the whole point of fables, people, stories stressing that its the insides that count, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
